Incomplete Metamorphosis is a mixed media mosaic utilizing hand-made porcelain tile, ceramic tile, photo-transfer tiles, and sheet glass installed on the kick plates of a two-tiered seating area. The four panels of the mosaic, which range from 10 to 12 inches tall, depict a large dragonfly spanning both the upper and lower panels of the bench, green leaves with violet background, and blue water with a beautiful cobalt background. Around the dragonfly are larvae, which were created by students of Keller.
Incomplete Metamorphosis was created in 2015 by Julia Sowles-Barlow with assistance from Bryant Jones and Ned Dean.
